Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
Samuel L. Jackson is in talks to join Eva Green and Asa Butterfield in Tim Burton’s “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” at 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment. The film is slated to open March 4th 2016.

Burton will direct from a script by Jane Goldman, who adapted the Ransom Rigg novel about a teenager who finds himself on an island where he must help protect a group of orphans with special powers from creatures out to destroy them. [Source: Variety]

The Oppenheimer Strategies
Michael Sheen, Steve Buscemi, Josh Charles, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Dan Stevens, Isaach De Bankole and Israeli actor Lior Ashkenazi have joined Richard Gere on the cast of “Oppenheimer Strategies” at The Solution Entertainment Group.

Joseph Cedar directs the story of a man whose life changes dramatically after he befriends a young politician who becomes an influential world leader. Filming begins on Sunday in New York and Israel. [Source: Screen]

Olga Kurylenko will star alongside Jordi Molla in Molla and Giuseppe Ferlito’s English-language directing debut thriller “Duelo”. Olga Segura, Guy Moshe and Matthew G. Zamias will produce.

The story centers on a famous actress whose fiance was viciously attacked and fell into a coma. Years later, she finds herself trapped by her fiance’s attacker. [Source: Variety]

Ben Kingsley is set to play the villain Kole in John Pogue’s action thriller “Wake” starring Bruce Willis. Chris Borrelli penned the screenplay with revisions by Pogue and filming begins later this month in Cleveland.

Michael Benaroya, Tobin Armbrust, David Alpert and Chris Cowles produce the story of a sociopath who returns to the homestead for a funeral and must save his family when the remote island comes under siege. [Source: Screen]
