Who Invited Her?
Dreamworks Pictures has picked up Sascha Rothschild’s romantic comedy pitch “Who Invited Her?” about a woman who crashes a bachelor party getaway.

Lay the Favorite
Corbin Bernsen has signed on to play the father of Rebecca Hall’s female lead character in Stephen Frears’ gambling drama “Lay the Favorite” at Emmett/Furla Films

Hall plays a Las Vegas cocktail waitress who becomes one of the best sports gamblers in the nation. Shooting is currently underway. [Source: Variety]

Gangster Squad
Michael Pena has joined the 1940s Los Angeles-set crime drama “Gangster Squad” for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow.

The story centres on how the highly corrupt at the time L.A.P.D. created a unit to keep the East Coast mafia out of the city. Pena plays an officer with a Mexican heritage who is eager to prove himself to the squad.

The film is based on Paul Lieberman’s seven-part LA Times article with a script by Will Beall. Josh Brolin, Sean Penn and Ryan Gosling also star. [Source: Heat Vision]

The Three Stooges
Carly Craig (“Hall Pass,” “Role Models”) will play Mrs. Harter, the wife of Stephen Collins’ Mr. Harter, in the upcoming Farrelly’s take on “The Three Stooges”.

In the film, the Harter’s are a couple who come to the Stooges’ orphanage to adopt the young lads. Shooting is currently under way in Atlanta. [Source: Variety]
