Live Like Line
Helen Hunt is set to re-team with “Soul Surfer” director Sean McNamara on the inspirational sports movie “Live Like Line” at LD Entertainment. David Aaron Cohen (“Friday Night Lights”) penned the script with revisions by Elissa Matsueda. Filming is slated to begin in July.

The story chronicles Iowa City’s West High girls volleyball team and its improbable run to the state championship under the guidance of their tough-love coach Kathy Bresnahan (Hunt) after the death of their star player Caroline ‘Line’ Found. [Source: Deadline]

When We First Met
Adam Devine (“Workaholics”) is set to co-write and star opposite Alexandra Daddario (“San Andreas”) in Ari Sandel’s rom-com “When We First Met” for Footprint Features, MXN and Wonderland Sound and Vision.

Devine stars as Noah, who spends the perfect first night with the girl of his dreams (Daddario) but gets relegated to the friend zone. He spends the next three years wondering what went wrong – until he gets the unexpected chance to travel back in time and alter that night, and his fate, over and over again. [Source: Deadline]

The Dark Tower
Claudia Kim (“Avengers: Age Of Ultron”) has reportedly scored a role in the big-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower”. Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey lead the cast of the film which is currently filming ahead of a February 2017 release.

Kim will play a character named Arra Champignon who appeared in two of the Marvel tie-in comics: “Treachery” and “The Sorcerer”. She possesses psychic abilities and seems to come from another world – perhaps another time all together. [Source: The Tracking Board]

Undying
Patrick Schwarzenegger and Liana Liberato are set to star in the fantasy romance drama “Undying” at Summerstorm Entertainment and Thunder Road Pictures. Marco Kreuzpaintner (“Trade”) will direct from a script by O’Neil Sharma and Max Work. Gabriela Bacher, Basil Iwanyk and Sean Finegan will produce.

Schwarzenegger plays a teen who becomes stranded between life and death when a tragic accident threatens to separate him from his girlfriend (Liberato). Watching from a ghostly afterlife, as she blames herself for his death, he finds a way to reach her in her dreams. [Source: Variety]

Patriots Day
CBS Films and Lionsgate have set “Supergirl” star Melissa Benoist, Khandi Alexander and Jake Picking to join the cast of Peter Berg’s Boston Marathon bombing saga “Patriots Day” which is currently shooting. Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, J.K. Simmons, Michelle Monaghan, Kevin Bacon, Jimmy O. Yang, Vincent Curatola, Alex Wolff, James Colby and Rachel Brosnahan also star. [Source: Variety]
