Untitled Marc Webb Project
Callum Turner (“Green Room”) is in negotiations to star in Marc Webb’s next untitled pic which is set up at Amazon Productions. Turner takes the place of Miles Teller who dropped out of the role due to scheduling conflicts.
Originally titled “The Only Living Boy in New York,” the story follows a young man who learns that his overbearing father is having an affair. The son tries to stop it, but ends up becoming involved with the woman as well. Albert Berger & Ron Yerxa are producing. [Source: Variety]
The Ballad of Lefty Brown
Bill Pullman (“Independence Day”), Jim Caviezel (“The Passion of the Christ”), Kathy Baker (“The Age of Adaline”) and Tommy Flanagan (“Sons of Anarchy”) are all set to star in the $2 million independent western drama “The Ballad of Lefty Brown”.

Lily Collins (“Mirror Mirror”) has joined the cast of Anthony Lucero’s next film based on his long poem “The Clown”. Set against the backdrop of a small traveling circus, the story centers on a European clown and his five-year-old daughter as they lead each other through the everyday mysteries of love, magic and loss.
Pål Sverre Hagen, Holliday Grainger, Keti Mchedishvili, Janos Derzsi, Harry Treadaway, Stacy Martin, Nikola Djuricko, Nutsa Kukhianidze and Jean-Marc Barr co-star in the film which is shooting in Tbilisi with Thor Halvorssen and Lucero producing. [Source: Deadline]
Murder on the Orient Express
British actor Tom Bateman (“Jekyll & Hyde”) is in negotiations to join the Kenneth Branagh-directed new film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express”. Bateman will play Bouc, Poirot’s companion and sidekick who works at the train company that runs the Orient Express.
The classic Christie story centers on special detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh), who boards a train from Jerusalem to Europe only to have a murder committed in the car next to his during a snowstorm. Poirot tries to discover the murderer or murderers before there’s another victim. The film opens November 22nd 2017. [Source: THR]
