I Saw the Light
Tom Hiddleston is set to portray country singer Hank Williams in Marc Abraham’s “I Saw The Light” for Bron Studios and RatPac Entertainment.
Abraham penned the script based on Colin Escott’s award-winning biography. Shooting is scheduled to begin in Louisiana in October. Aaron L Gilbert, Brett Ratner, G Marq Roswell and Abraham will produce. [Source: Screen]
“Workaholics” creator and star Anders Holm will play the romantic lead opposite Anne Hathaway in Nancy Meyers’ romantic comedy “The Intern” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The story centers on the owner of a successful fashion website (Hathaway) who bonds with the elderly intern (De Niro) her company has hired. Meyers penned the screenplay. [Source: THR]
Maya Rudolph (“Bridesmaids”) and Greta Lee (“Girls”) have joined the cast of the Amy Poehler-Tina Fey comedy “The Nest” at Universal Pictures.
The story follows two grown sisters who throw one last party in their parents’ soon-to-be-sold house. Rudolph will play a childhood friend of the duo. Lee will play Hae Won, a young mother who by chance gets a pity invite to the party. [Source: THR]
The Greens Are Gone
Cary Elwes has joined the cast of Peer Pedersen’s indie drama “The Greens Are Gone”. Elwes will play Frank, a local in the town who has a dark past.

“Ong Bak” star Tony Jaa is set to lead the cast in “SPL II: A Time For Consequences,” a $23 million-budget prequel to 2005’s Donnie Yen-led action thriller “SPL: Sha Po Lang”.
Featuring a fusion of Chinese and Thai martial arts, the film also stars Louis Koo, Wu Jing, Simon Yam, Zhang Jin and Babyjohn Choi. Shooting began in Hong Kong in May and moves to Thailand next month. [Source: THR]
