Garrett Hedlund and Michael Pena are attached to star in “The Guard” and “Calvary” director John Michael McDonagh’s black comedy “War on Everyone” at Bankside Films. Filming begins in New Mexico in March 2015.

The story follows two corrupt cops in New Mexico who frequently blackmail criminals. They run into trouble when they take on an outlaw more dangerous than they are. Chris Clark and Flora Fernandez Marengo will produce. [Source: Screen]

John Malkovich and Toni Collette will join Noomi Rapace, Michael Douglas and Orlando Bloom in Michael Apted’s female-driven action thriller “Unlocked”.

Rapaceplays a CIA interrogator who unwittingly gives info to terrorists and must race against the clock to stop their biological warfare attach on London. Peter O’Brien penned the script and filming began this week. [Source: Deadline]

Animal Crackers
Ian McKellen, Danny DeVito and Sylvester Stallone have joined the voice cast of the animated feature “Animal Crackers” at Blue Dream Studios. Scott Christian Sava and Tony Bancroft are co-directing the film which also stars Patrick Warburton, Gilbert Gottfried, Raven Symone, Harvey Fierstein, James Arnold Taylor, Tara Strong and Lydia Taylor.

The story deals with a family whose life is turned upside-down when they inherit a rundown circus and a mysterious box of animal crackers, which magically change the person who eats them into animals. Production is underway with a summer 2016 release planned. [Source: Variety]

Agent Carter
Bridget Regan (“John Wick,” “White Collar”) has joined the cast of ABC’s “Marvel’s Agent Carter”. Regan will play the recurring role Dottie, a small-town Iowa girl and neighbor of Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) who has a big impact on her life.

The series, which premieres January 6th, follows Peggy in the wake of “Captain America: The First Avenger” as she attempts to balance routine office work for the Strategic Scientific Reserve with the secret missions she undertakes with inventor Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper). [Source: Variety]
