Armie Hammer (“The Lone Ranger,” “The Social Network”) will join Tom Cruise in the Guy Ritchie-directed big screen reboot of “Man From U.N.C.L.E.” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Created in the 1960s during the Cold War, the story will follow the spy adventures of American agent Napoleon Solo (Tom Cruise) and Soviet agent Illya Kuryakin (Hammer). [Source: THR]
Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Disney is in talks with Jennifer Garner to star in the Miguel Arteta-directed live-action adaptation of Judith Viorst’s children’s book “Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.”
Lisa Cholodenko wrote the script with Rob Lieber. Steve Carell is attached to play Alexander’s dad, while Garner will play his mother. Shooting begins in the fall. [Source: Deadline]
Sean Combs and Terry Crews have joined the cast of Ivan Reitman’s sports pic “Draft Day” starring Kevin Costner. Scenes will be shot today at New York’s Radio City Music Hall during the 2013 NFL draft.
The story follows the manager of the Cleveland Browns who struggles to acquire the top draft pick for his team on the day of the draft. Jennifer Garner, Denis Leary and Chadwick Boseman also star. [Source: Variety]
Heaven is for Real
Filmmakers are in northeast Ohio in search of a young actor to portray a boy who claims to have seen heaven in the feature “Heaven Is For Real”.
Casting for the movie will take place on Saturday, April 28th from 2-5pm at the Olmsted Performing Arts Center. Casting directors are searching for a blond haired, blue eyed boy approximately 5- to 7-years-old to portray Colton. [Source: Fox8]
