John Gallagher Jr. (“Hush,” “10 Cloverfield Lane”) has joined Kristen Stewart in William Eubank’s aquatic action thriller “Underwater” for 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment.

The story follows an underwater scientific crew who, after an earthquake devastates their underwater station, have to navigate through two miles in the dangerous depths of the ocean floor to make it to safety. [Source: Deadline]

The Catcher Was A Spy
Tom Wilkinson, Connie Nielsen and Shea Whigham have joined Ben Lewin’s war drama “Catcher Was A Spy” based on Nicholas Dawidoff’s true story novel about Moe Berg, a professional baseball player turned top-secret spy for the OSS.

Paul Rudd stars as Moe in the film and leads a cast that includes Guy Pearce, Paul Giamatti, Jeff Daniels, Sienna Miller, Giancarlo Giannini, and Mark Strong. Robert Rodat (“Saving Private Ryan”) is penning the script. [Source: Deadline]

Madness in the Method
“Haywire” star Gina Carano has been revealed to be a part of the cast of Jason Mewes-directed dark comedy “Madness in the Method”. The meta film follows an actor named Jason Mewes attempting to reinvent himself in Hollywood.

Mewes is starring as himself and co-wrote the script with Christ Anastasi and Dominic Burns. Carano is playing Mewes’ wife, while both Kevin Smith and Teri Hatcher make appearances. Shooting is taking place in Los Angeles and Derby, United Kingdom. [Source: Heat Vision]

Life in a Year
Terrence Howard and Stony Blyden will join Jaden Smith and Cara Delevingne in Mitja Okorn’s young adult romantic drama “Life in a Year” at Overbrook Entertainment. Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews penned the script and filing begins in the Spring.

Howard will play the proud, no-nonsense father of Daryn (Smith). Daryn falls for punkish girl Isabelle, who has been diagnosed with cancer and given a year to live. He sets out to give her a full life in the little time they have. Blyden plays Kiren, Daryn’s talkative, girl-obsessed and loyal best friend. [Source: Deadline]
