Jennifer Ehle (“Zero Dark Thirty,” “Pride and Prejudice”) will play Kevin Costner’s late wife in Mike Binder’s drama “Black and White” for Treehouse Productions and Sunlight Productions. The character appears in flashbacks and hallucinations.

Costner plays a widowed attorney with a bi-racial granddaughter (Jillian Estell) whose mother (Costner’s daughter) died during childbirth. Octavia Spencer plays the young girl’s grandmother who wants her drug addict son (Andre Holland) to care for the child. [Source: The Wrap]

Anna Friel (“Pushing Daisies”) is set to star in the darkly comedic telemovie “The Psychopath Next Door” for ITV Studios and Sky Living.

The Honourable Woman
Maggie Gyllenhaal will play the lead in Hugo Blick’s thriller series “The Honourable Woman” for BBC2 and Sundance Channel. Shooting begins next month in London ahead of a 2014 air date.

Gyllenhaal plays a woman who finds herself and her brother under the investigation of both Whitehall and the Secret Intelligence Service after the death of a Palestinian business man. [Source: Screen]

An American Mystery
Charlotte Kirk (“Non-Stop”) has signed on to play Nicole Brown Simpson in Joshua Newton’s ridiculously expensive $65 million biopic “An American Mystery”.

The story looks at how the woman first met the NFL star at the age of 18 all the way up until her infamous 1994 murder, which her husband O.J. Simpson was acquitted for. [Source: The Wrap]
