Joel Edgerton is in negotiations to co-star with Michael Shannon in the next untitled film from “Take Shelter” and “Mud” helmer Jeff Nichols at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Story specifics are being kept under wraps, however it has been described as a present-day sci-fi chase film. Nichols also penned the script and shooting begins early next year. [Source: Variety]

Christopher Plummer will join Dan Fogelman’s directorial debut “Imagine” which begins shooting Monday in Los Angeles. Plummer replaces Michael Caine who was previously cast in the same role.

Al Pacino plays a 70-ish magician still leading the decadent rock n roll life. Plummer will play his manager, who gives him an undelivered letter written by a 19-year old John Lennon. That compels him to clean up and reconnect with his estranged son. [Source: Deadline]

Scott Speedman will play one of the leads in Ryan Murphy’s HBO drama pilot “Open”. The story is described as a modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships.
