Theory of Everything
Emily Watson, David Thewlis, Charlie Cox, Simon McBurney, Harry Lloyd and Maxine Peake have joined the cast of James Marsh’s “The Theory of Everything” at Working Title Films. Filming began today in and around London and Cambridge.

The story centers on the relationship between physicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) and Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones), the arts student he fell in love with whilst studying at Cambridge in the 1960s. [Source: Variety]

Jeri Ryan (“Star Trek: Voyager”) has joined the cast of Ron Moore and Syfy’s upcoming series “Helix” for a multi-episode arc.

The story follows a team of CDC scientists who travel to a high-tech Arctic research facility to investigate a possible outbreak. Ryan plays the COO of the company that owns the facility. [Source: Den of Geek]

La Vida Robot
Carlos Pena (“Big Time Rush”) has scored one of the lead roles in Sean McNamara’s English-language feature “La Vida Robot” from Lionsgate and Pantelion Films. Filming begins in New Mexico in mid-October.

The true story tale follows four undocumented Mexican-American high school students who form a robotics club and go up against MIT in the National Underwater Robotics Competition. George Lopez also stars. [Source: THR]
