David Dastmalchian (“The Dark Knight,” “Prisoners”) has signed on to play a role in Peyton Reed’s “Ant-Man” movie at Marvel Studios.

Tony-nominated actor David Harbour (“The Equalizer ,” “A Walk Among The Tombstones”) will play corrupt FBI agent John Morris in Scott Cooper’s Whitey Bulger biopic “Black Mass” at Warner Bros. Pictures.

The Escort
Lyndsy Fonseca (“Kick Ass,” “Nikita”) has scored the lead role in the romantic comedy “The Escort”. Will Slocombe directs the film which is currently shooting in Los Angeles and also stars Bruce Campbell, Tommy Dewey, Rumer Willis, Rachel Resheff, and Sonya Walger.

Oliver Platt (“Fargo”), Bryan Greenberg (“How to Make It in America”) and Tory Kittles (“True Detective”) have joined the cast of Dee Rees’ upcoming Bessie Smith biopic telemovie “Bessie” for HBO. Mo’Nique, Michael K. Williams, Mike Epps, Khandi Alexander, Tika Sumpter and Charles S. Dutton also star.

Queen Latifah plays the iconic blues singer who overcomes the challenges of her tempestuous personal life to become one of the most acclaimed recording artists of the 1920s and 1930s.
