John Cusack (“The Raven”) has signed on to star in Eugenio Mira’s upcoming high-concept thriller “Grand Piano”. Damien Chazelle penned the script and shooting begins this summer in Chicago and Alicante.

The story follows a celebrated concert pianist (Elijah Wood) making a comeback performance when he discovers a note that demands he play his best if he wants to save both himself and his wife. [Source: Digital Spy]

Hemingway & Fuentes
Financing is finally set for Andy Garcia’s passion project “Hemingway & Fuentes” with filming to begin in January. Anthony Hopkins and Annette Bening remain attached to star in the project with Garcia who is also directing and co-wrote the screenplay.

The story chronicles the relationship between Hemingway (Hopkins) and his Cuban fishing-boat captain Gregorio Fuentes (Garcia) which was a key inspiration of arguably his most famous work “The Old Man and the Sea”. [Source: The Hollywood Reporter]

Better Living Through Chemistry
Jane Fonda has joined the cast of the comedy “Better Living Through Chemistry” which already stars Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Michelle Monaghan, Ray Liotta, Ben Schwartz and Ken Howard.

Fonda plays a customer of the pharmacy run by Rockwell’s character and she serves the conscience of the film. Filming is underway in Maryland. [Source: Deadline]

Morgan Freeman is in talks to join the cast of Jon Turteltaub’s comedy “Last Vegas”, joining the already cast Michael Douglas and Robert De Niro.
