Bill & Ted Face the Music
Grammy winner Scott Mescudi (“Drunk Parents,” “Need for Speed”), aka Kid Cudi, has joined the cast of “Bill & Ted Face the Music” though details of his role are under wraps. Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, William Sadler, Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine co-star in the film about the titular middle-aged best friends who set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Flora & Ulysses
Alyson Hannigan (“Buffy,” “How I Met Your Mother”) and Ben Schwartz (“Parks and Recreation”) have signed on for lead roles as the parents of the lead young female character in the film adaptation of Kate DiCamillo’s 2013 novel “Flora & Ulysses” for Disney+. Lena Khan helms from a screenplay by Brad Copeland.

The story follows the imaginative, creative and cynical ten-year-old Flora, who could hardly predict that the little squirrel she saved from a tragic accident would be born anew and transformed into a superhero with the powers of strength, misspelled poetry… and an uncanny knack for helping her and the lovable but broken people in her life become a family again. Waldo
Dominic Monaghan (“Lost,” “The Lord of the Rings”) will join Mel Gibson and Charlie Hunnam in the upcoming action-thriller “Waldo” which Tim Kirby will helm. Based on the novel by Howard Gould, the story centers around a disgraced and now off-grid LAPD detective (Hunnam) reluctantly pulled back into his old life by a former lover in order to solve the murder of an eccentric celebrity’s wife. Fatherhood
“Gotham” and “Barry” scene stealer Anthony Carrigan has joined Kevin Hart in the cast of the drama “Fatherhood” for Sony Pictures. Dana Stevens penned the script and filming begins shortly.

Paul Weitz is directing the film that’s based on the true story of Matthew Logelin whose wife died shortly after childbirth, leaving him to raise their daughter Maddy on his own. Carrigan will play Hart’s best friend while Alfre Woodard and Melody Hurd also star. [Source: THR]

Clifford the Big Red Dog
David Alan Grier, Rosie Perez and Kenan Thompson have all signed on for the film adaptation of Norman Bridwell’s “Clifford the Big Red Dog” books, joining previously announced cast members John Cleese, Sienna Guillory, Darby Camp and Jack Whitehall.

In the film Emily (Camp) struggling to fit in at home and at school, discover a small red puppy who is destined to become her best friend. When Clifford magically undergoes one heck of a growth spurt and becomes a gigantic dog, he impacts the lives of everyone around him and teaches Emily and her uncle the true meaning of acceptance and unconditional love.
