Enola Holmes
Sam Claflin (“Adrift”), Fiona Shaw (“Killing Eve”), Susan Wokoma (“Chewing Gum”) and Adeel Akhtar (“Les Miserables”) will join Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter and Millie Bobby Brown in the upcoming “Enola Holmes,” a film adaptation of Nancy Springer’s book series of the same name.

The story follows the teenage sister of the famed Sherlock Holmes and his brother, Mycroft. Enola may be younger than her famed brothers but she has all of their talents (and more), putting them to good use as the Victorian answer to Nancy Drew. [Source: Collider]

Denim Richards, who plays cowboy wrangler Colby in a recurring role on the second season of Paramount Network’s “Yellowstone,” has been upped to a series regular for the third. The third season is currently filming on location and has just added “Lost” actor Josh Holloway in a recurring role. Tom & Jerry
SNL co-head writer and Weekend Update anchor Colin Jost has joined Chloe Grace Moretz and Michael Pena in the live-action/animation hybrid film “Tom and Jerry” at Warner Bros. Pictures. Tim Story is directing the update of the 1940 cartoon shorts created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. [Source: Deadline]

DeWanda Wise (“She’s Gotta Have It”) will join Kevin Hart in the comedy-drama “Fatherhood” for Sony Pictures. The true story is based on Matthew Logelin’s book “Two Kisses for Maddy” and follows a father forced to raise a child on his own who finds himself wholly unprepared for the challenge.

Alfre Woodard, Lil Rel Howery, Anthony Carrigan, Melody Hurd, Paul Reiser and Deborah Ayorinde also star while Paul Weitz is directing the film which is currently shooting. Dana Stevens adapted the screenplay. [Source: Blackfilm]

Sweet Magnolias
Chris Klein (“The Flash”), Jamie Lynn Spears (“Zoey 101”) and Justin Bruening (“Good Behavior”) are set as series regulars opposite Monica Potter, Brooke Elliott and Heather Headley in the new Netflix series “Sweet Magnolias”.

The show is based on Sherryl Woods’ popular series of novels and is set in the charming small town of Serenity, South Carolina and focuses on three female best friends since childhood.
