Life In A Year
Jaden Smith (“After Earth”) and Cara Delevingne (“Suicide Squad”) are set to headline Mitja Okorn’s romantic drama “Life In A Year” for Overbrook Entertainment.
The story follows a seventeen-year-old boy who, after learning his girlfriend is dying, sets out to give her their entire life together, in the year she has left. Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews penned the script for the film which will being production in Toronto in the Spring. [Source: Deadline]
P.J. Byrne will join Dwayne Johnson in the Brad Peyton-directed video game adaptation “Rampage” for New Line. Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, and Breanne Hill also star while Beau Flynn will produce.
In the film, a gigantic trio of creatures – a gorilla, crocodile, and a wolf – destroy North American cities and landmarks. Johnson will play a zoologist and Byrne will portray a scientist. The film is targeting an April 20th 2018 release. [Source: Variety]

Hiroyuki Sanada (“Life”) has joined Ben Lewin’s WWII drama “The Catcher Was A Spy” for PalmStar/Animus Films. Robert Rodat penned the script based on Nicholas Dawidoff’s bestselling book.
Paul Rudd plays Moe Berg, a professional baseball player-turned-top secret spy for the O.S.S who helped the U.S. win the race against Germany to build the atomic bomb. Sanada will play Kawabata, a Japanese delegate and Professor of History. Sienna Miller, Guy Pearce, Paul Giamatti and Jeff Daniels also star. [Source: Deadline]
Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot
Mark Webber (“Green Room”) has joined the cast of Gus Van Sant’s biopic “Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot” for Iconoclast and Anonymous Content. The story deals with quadriplegic cartoonist John Callahan (Joaquin Phoenix).
Webber will play Mike, a fellow Vietnam veteran and friend of John who he meets during his AA meetings. Jonah Hill, Rooney Mara and Jack Black are also on board to star. [Source: Variety]
