Oz: The Great and Powerful
Bruce Campbell has confirmed that he will NOT be appearing in friend Sam Raimi’s “Oz: The Great and Powerful” for Disney Pictures.

Campbell says “My scene in Oz has been cut before shooting. It happens on epic flicks. Disappointed, but all good w/Sam. On to the next adventure!”. Campbell adds he and Oz star James Franco are working together on a project called “Neglect”. [Source: Twitter]

The President Stole My Girlfriend
Russell Brand will star in and produce the comedy “The President Stole My Girlfriend” for Warner Bros. Pictures and Branded Films.

The story will follow a sexy hippie who loses his girlfriend to the President of the United States. Matt Portenoy penned the script while Nik Linnen will also produce. [Source: The Hollywood Reporter]

Django Unchained
Sacha Baron Cohen is in final negotiations to play a small but pivotal role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained”.

Cohen will play Scotty, a gambler who purchases Django’s slave wife (Kerry Washington) to use as a female companion. [Source: Variety]

Spring Breakers
Rachel Korine (“Trash Humpers,” “Mister Lonely”), the wife of indie filmmaker Harmony Korine, has landed the last lead in his next project “Spring Breakers.”

The story follows four college girls who rob a fast food restaurant to afford spring break in Florida. Upon arrival, they get mixed up with a shady criminal who entices them to kill his arch-rival.

Emma Roberts, Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez are in talks to play the other three girls alongside Korine, while James Franco is attached to play the dealer they get mixed up with. [Source: Variety]
