I’m Your Woman
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” star Rachel Brosnahan and “La La Land” producer Jordan Horowitz are teaming for “I’m Your Woman” at Amazon and Original Headquarters. Horowitz wrote the script with his wife Julia Hart (“Fast Color”) who will direct and filming begins this Fall.
The story revolves around the story of a woman named Jean (Brosnahan) who must go on the run with her child due to her husband’s crimes. Their lives become intertwined with a man and a woman, forming an unlikely partnership that teaches them more than just how to survive. [Source: Deadline]
Haley Bennett (“The Girl on the Train”) is in early talks to join Amy Adams, Glenn Close and Gabriel Basso in Ron Howard’s “Hillbilly Elegy” at Netflix. Based on J.D. Vance’s bestselling memoir, the story follows three generations of an Appalachian family as told by its youngest member, a Yale law student forced to return to his hometown. Good Joe Bell
“Forrest Gump” and “CSI:NY” star Gary Sinise is set to play opposite Mark Wahlberg, Connie Britton and Reid Miller in Reinaldo Marcus Green’s drama “Good Joe Bell” which hails from “Brokeback Mountain” scribes Diana Ossana and Larry McMurtry. The true story tale follows an Oregonian father (Wahlberg) who sets out on a walk across America with his son (Miller). Filming is underway in Utah. [Source: Deadline]
Hip-hop artist Lizzo is joining Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu in the stripper Robin Hood film “Hustlers”. Cardi B, Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer, Julia Stiles, Mercedes Ruehl, Trace Lysette, Mette Towley and Madeline Brewer also star.
The story follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their wealthy, drunk and abusive Wall Street clients by maxing out their credit cards after they’ve passed out. Filming is currently underway in New York City. [Source: The Wrap]
