Benjamin Bratt is set to headline Lee Daniels’ music drama pilot at FOX which was formerly known as “Star”. Bratt will play a talent manager with a hidden life and drive for redemption.

The Yellow Birds
Toni Collette and Jason Patric have joined Alexandre Moors’ war drama “The Yellow Birds” at Cinelou Films. David Lowery is adapting the script from Kevin Powers’ novel.

The story follows two young soldiers (Alden Ehrenreich and Tye Sheridan) who become friends in boot camp and vow to take care of each other during wartime. Toni Collette and Jennifer Aniston play the mothers of soldiers will play Capt. Anderson and Jack Huston plays a man who takes the young soldiers under his wing. [Source: Deadline]

The Girl Who Invented Kissing
Vincent Piazza, Dash Mihok, Suki Waterhouse, Luke Wilson and Abbie Cornish are set to star in Tom Sierchio’s independent drama “The Girl Who Invented Kissing”.

Piazza and Mihok play two brothers with the younger caring for the older. Their relationship is heightened by the sudden appearance of a young woman (Waterhouse) who brings excitement, adventure and a bit of danger into the lives of both siblings and the surrounding community. [Source: Variety]

Big Little Lies
Laura Dern and Adam Scott are set to join David E. Kelley’s limited comedic drama series “Big Little Lies” for HBO. The series is based on Liane Moriarty’s book of the same name.

Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley lead the story of three mothers of kindergartners whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder. Scott will play the stable husband of Witherspoon’s character, Dern will play an anti-bullying crusader. [Source: The Live Feed]

Broad City
Democratic presidential candidate Hilary Clinton will guest star in an episode of “Broad City” on Comedy Central. Season three of the series premieres Wednesday, February 17th.
