Kate Bosworth is attached to star in Michael Polish’s film adaptation of the Greg King book “Sharon Tate And The Manson Murders”. Polish will adapt and direct and Nick Phillips will produce.

Tate was the beautiful model-actress who was married to filmmaker Roman Polanski and was two weeks away from giving birth to his child when members of the Manson family broke into her home and stabbed her sixteen times. [Source: Deadline]

Untitled Lou Pearlman Series
Toby Jones (“Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”) has been set to play the late Lou Pearlman in the TV event series that will chronicle the life of the fraudulent boy band producer of NSYNC and Backstreet Boys.

The project hasn’t landed at a network yet, but insiders say four different buyers are extremely interested and a home for the series is expected to be announced soon. The search for a writer and director are currently underway. [Source: Variety]

Frankie Muniz will star in Brian Hanson’s upcoming independent drama “The Black String” which begins filming next month in Los Angeles.

Hanson and Richard Handley co-wrote the script about a lonely art school dropout named Jonathan whose life begins to unravel after a reckless sexual encounter with a mysterious woman. [Source: Variety]

Under the Silver Lake
Topher Grace will join Andrew Garfield and Dakota Johnson in David Robert Mitchell’s modern noir crime thriller “Under The Silver Lake”. Grace will play a friend to Garfield’s character who helps him with an investigation surrounding a missing woman.

The story centers on a man who becomes obsessed with the strange circumstances of a billionaire mogul’s murder and the undeniable link to the L.A. ‘dog murderers’ and cult indie music scene. Michael De Luca. Chris Bender, Jake Weiner and Adele Romanski are producing. [Source: Deadline]
