Gods of Egypt
Chadwick Boseman (“42”) is set to play the god of wisdom Thoth in Alex Proyas’ “Gods of Egypt” at Summit Entertainment. He joins a cast that currently includes Gerard Butler, Geoffrey Rush, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Brenton Thwaites and Courtney Eaton.

Rebecca Hall (“Iron Man 3”) has joined the cast of Sean Mewshaw’s rom-com “Tumbledown” which begins filming late March in Massachusetts. Jason Sudeikis, Blythe Danner and Joe Manganiello also star.

Set in the Maine woods, Hall plays a woman unable to move on after the death of her husband. She eventually meets a brash New York academic who has a different take on her husband’s life — and death. [Source: Deadline]

Rock the Casbah
Kate Hudson, Danny McBride, Shia LaBeouf and Zooey Deschanel will star in Barry Levinson’s indie comedy “Rock the Kasbah”. Filming begins this June.

Bruce Willis and Billy Murray star in the story of a has-been rock manager who takes his last remaining client on a USO tour of Afghanistan. Stuck in Kabul, he discovers a young girl with an extraordinary voice and manages her. [Source: Variety]
