Nick Cassavetes (“The Notebook,” “My Sister’s Keeper”) is in talks to direct a biopic about John Gotti Jr. and his mobster father for Fiore Films says Variety.
The story focuses on the complex relationship between Gotti and his father, the flamboyant head of the Gambino crime family in New York.
Gotti Sr. spent the last decade of his life in prison before dying of cancer in 2002. At their last meeting together, Gotti Jr. told his father he was getting out of the family business.
Leo Rossi is penning the script and shooting kicks off next year. Marc Fiore will produce.
