Casa Director Becomes A “King Dork”

Matt Piedmont (“Casa de Mi Padre”) is set to helm the English-language comedy “King Dork” for Gary Sanchez and NALA Films reports Deadline.

Based on the 2006 Frank Portman novel which is being adapted by D.V. DeVincentis (“High Fidelity,” “Grosse Point Blank”), the story follows two best friends and outsiders who bond over their shared love of classic rock and roll. Said friendship helps them cope with the agony of getting through high school in 1987.

Emilio Diez Barroso, Darlene Caamano Loquet, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Kevin Messick and Chris Henchy will produce. Shooting will begin in June, likely in Connecticut.
