Actress Helena Bonham Carter has always been one of the best because she’s one of the few to honestly speak her mind in interviews – a rarer commodity than you think.
Talking with The Telegraph, she brought up two films she’s involved in, but delivered disappointing news about one – the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”.
Carter plays Bellatrix Lestrange, Voldemort’s right-hand witch and a role many Potter fans have been very keen to see portrayed. Sadly though, she won’t be seen it very much – “I had five lines in that. I think they cut three of them – and I was there for six weeks. I don’t know quite how, still, to this day, I was there for that long… it’s nice to be part of it, and it’s fun to be a witch.”
She’s far more upbeat about her partner Tim Burton’s “Sweeney Todd” in which she plays the juicier role of Mrs Lovett, evil pie-maker and landlady to the Demon Barber. “I do love musicals – I’m a real musical-whore, you know. This is like a dream come true for me” says Carter.
