Writer-director Sean Carter (“Keep Watching”) is set to adapt Stephen King’s short story “Suffer the Little Children” into a new feature which Craig Flores, Nicolas Chartier and Sriram Das will produce.
The supernatural thriller, collected in the anthology book “Nightmares & Dreamscapes,” centers on a recently divorced first-grade schoolteacher who notices flashes of a bizarre texture lurking under the skin of the children in her class.
At the same time there’s a chilling, conspiratorial secrecy to the way they play together, and people in town begin dying mysteriously. Producer Flores is also involved in a film adaptation of King’s novel “Rose Madder” currently in development.
