Carpenter Penning “Little China” Sequel Comic

The new board game based on John Carpenter’s beloved 1986 cult classic “Big Trouble in Little China” isn’t the only thing tied to the film that’s on the way later this year.

Ew reports that the comic, titled “Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack,” will be released by Boom! Studios and boasts Carpenter himself as a co-writer alongside Anthony Burch (“Borderlands 2”) with art by Jorge Corona.

In the first story arc spanning four issues, the year is 2020 and Ching Dai, the God of the East who cursed Lo Pan, has broken the barriers between Earth and the infinite hells – declaring himself ruler of all

A now sixty-year-old Jack Burton is alone in a tiny corner of Florida with only his broken radio to talk to, until one day it manages to pick up a message – someone is out there and they know a way to stop Ching Dai.

The first issue will hit stands in September and promises to be the “final ride in the Pork-Chop Express”.
