Carnahan To Pen, Maybe Direct “Bad Boys 3”

Filmmaker Joe Carnahan (“Narc,” “The Grey”) is in early talks to pen a new draft and possibly direct a third film in the “Bad Boys” action film franchise.

Carnahan will definitely be rewriting the script by David Guggenheim (“Safe House”) and could potentially helm the project for which both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are being sought to return.

Carnahan does not have a deal in place yet, but his masculine sensibility and efficient filmmaking style seems a good fit for the franchise which had two previous entries directed by Michael Bay.
