The live-action “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian” on Disney+ has scored good reviews from critics and audiences and has since launched many a meme, most of which have centered around the infant who is the same species as the late Jedi master Yoda.
One of the more unusual things though has been the show’s layout – namely that aside from Pascal and the creature, the supporting cast has mostly been small enough to feel more like guest stars than ‘regulars’. This includes Carl Weathers’ bounty hunter guild leader Greef Carga.
We also know a second season of the show is currently in production and now Weathers tells GamesRadar SFX that there are plans in the works to bring back his character for the second season:
“I think [Greef’s backstory] is more saved for season two. But you get some glimpses at Greef and who he is through the stories in the first season. There’s some real strong indications that give you some idea of who he is. But we never let on completely. It’s much more interesting to play someone who is not all of one thing – not one-dimensional. Also, it opens it up to stories later on that can reveal much more about this character. Certainly with Greef, you have to really keep your eye on him.”
The comment comes as Walmart has announced a Mattel-produced Baby Yoda plushie and two bobble-head figures from Funko with all set to be released May-June 2020. These toys are already available to pre-order from ShopDisney.
It has also been confirmed that the first season’s seventh episode on December 18th will include a special “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” sneak peek two days ahead of that film’s opening.
