Oscar-nominated British actress Carey Mulligan says she’s not sure of the status of her upcoming projects despite being linked to two high-profile films in the works.
A report late last week with a quote from Emma Thompson had Mulligan linked to the role of Eliza Doolittle in the upcoming “My Fair Lady” remake. Mulligan tells Collider that “I really don’t know, at this point, what’s happening with that. That’s lovely that Emma said that. That’s really nice. But, I honestly don’t know.”
She’s also been linked to playing Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher’s Hollywood adaptation of international best-seller “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. Mulligan says “I would love to do that. That would be insane. I’m obsessed with those books, as everyone is. But, no, I haven’t had a phone call. That would be awesome. I would love to play that part, but that hasn’t come to me.”
