Cameron’s “Sanctum” Goes Rogue

Universal Pictures and Relativity Media are set to release the James Cameron-produced underwater 3-D drama “Sanctum” through their Rogue Pictures label says Variety.

The film is inspired by Andrew Wight’s near-death experience of leading a diving expedition miles into a system of underwater caves, then having to find a way out after a freak storm collapsed the entrance.

Alister Grierson helms from a script by Wight and John Garvin. The $30 million movie will shoot later this year in Australia for a late 2010 release.
