“Call Me” & “Get Out” Top The Gotham Awards

The first awards show of the season, the Gotham Awards, have been announced with coming of age drama “Call Me By Your Name” taking the top prize of best feature along with breakthrough actor for Timothee Chalamet.

The other big winner was Jordan Peele’s “Get Out” which took the audience award, the breakthrough director award and best screenplay. Other winners included James Franco for best actor with “The Disaster Artist,” Saoirse Ronan for best actress with “Lady Bird,” an ensemble cast award for “Mudbound,” and “Strong Island” for best documentary.

On the TV front, “Atlanta” won for best long-form series while YouTube digital series “The Strange Eyes of Dr. Myes,” won best short form series.
