Burton’s “Dark Shadows” Sets New Date

Tim Burton’s film adaptation of “Dark Shadows” for Warner Bros. Pictures will kick off filming in April reports Deadline.

Based on the cult 60’s series, the spooky soap-opera featured gothic horror staples like vampires, ghosts and zombies. Johnny Depp is attached to play Barnabas Collins, the vampire patriarch of the series.

Originally schedule for January, the new date hasn’t affected Depp’s commitment to star. However it does mean Depp may not be able to star in Kathryn Bigelow’s ensemble crime drama “Triple Frontier”.

Seth Grahame-Smith is penning the script while Burton and Timur Bekmambetov are attached to produce.
