Burns For “Blade Runner”, Baily For “Lizzie”

“Contagion” and “The Bourne Ultimatum” scribe Scott Burns has reportedly entered active talks to write the “Blade Runner” project at Alcon and Warner Brothers reports Twitchfilm.

Ridley Scott is committed to both direct and produce this new installment in the franchise which is expected to be set in the same universe as that seen in Scott’s 1982 seminal sci-fi classic.

Meanwhile, Jaylnn Bailey (“Betty’s Ready”) has reportedly been hired to re-write the script for “The Low Self-Esteem of Lizzie Gillespie” at Mandate Pictures and Mr. Mudd reports Variety.

“The Office” scribes Brent Forrester and Mindy Kaling penned the original draft which centers on a woman who only attracts losers, but one day finds herself pursued by an extremely hot guy.
