Bryan Singer To Direct Fox’s “X-Men” Pilot

Bryan Singer has been attached to direct the pilot of FOX’s untitled live-action “X-Men” series from “Burn Notice” creator Matt Nix.

Singer, who has helmed four of the main “X-Men” series’ six big screen outings to date, will also executive produce the potential action-adventure series about two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers.

Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. Nix will pen the script and serve as showrunner.

Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory also serve as executive producers.
