Bryan Singer Set For “X-Men: Apocalypse”

After months of speculation, Bryan Singer has closed his deal to direct Fox’s upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse” reports The Wrap.

It was widely expected the filmmaker would be returning for his follow-up to “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” but the studio had been oddly reluctant to confirm it.

Now it appears to be set, the director being joined by returning acting regulars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult. Also expected for the next outing are actors to play younger versions of Cyclops, Storm and Jean Grey.

Production on the film kicks off in the Spring ahead of an early Summer 2016 release.
