Here’s a pairing you wouldn’t expect – “X-Men” and “Superman Returns” director Bryan Singer, and the classic gothic sitcom “The Munsters”.
Deadline reports that Singer is finalising a deal to direct and executive produce NBC’s planned small screen reboot of the 1960s sitcom.
As previously reported, “Dead Like Me” and “Pushing Daisies” producer Bryan Fuller is behind the revival which reimagines the comedy as a “visually spectacular one-hour drama”. Both the Bryan’s will executive produce.
The project would mark the third time Singer has helmed a pilot, following “House” (which he still executive produces) and ABC’s American remake of British sexy soap “Footballers’ Wives” which never got to air.
