Last week came word that “Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston had signed on to portray Zordon in the upcoming “Power Rangers” film reboot at Lionsgate.
The announcement is a return to the franchise for Cranston who provided voice over work for the original TV series back in 1993. Speaking about his return to the franchise with “Entertainment Tonight,” Cranston revealed his excitement for the part and spoke about the role Zordon plays in the film and in the lives of the Rangers:
“Yes, it’s motion capture and it’s a lot of CGI-work. The tenant of that storyline is that this a real person who is trapped in this etherworld and it becomes this in-the-wall so to speak of [the command center], He still has a heart and mind, but an agenda that he’s got to get these five Power Rangers to defend the earth or else everyone they know will be killed. So, it’s exciting.”
