Bruehl & Becker Re-Team For “Kaminski”

Rising thesp Daniel Bruehl and director Wolfgang Becker (“Good Bye, Lenin”) are reteaming for “Me and Kaminski ” (“Ich und Kaminski”) for Berlin’s X Filme reports Zeit and Variety.

The film, an adaptation of Daniel Kehlmann’s 2003 novel, follows a shameless and opportunistic young art critic who sets out to write a biography of an enigmatic painter in his quest for fortune and glory – but first he has to convince the aging artist, who lives with his daughter in the Alps.

The story crisscrosses Western Europe, from the Alps, into France, Germany and lastly to Belgium’s North Sea coast. The European co-production is set to shoot this fall.
