Brief “X-Men,” “Rings,” “Zelda” Updates

X-Men: Apocalypse
While we know the contracts of the cast of “X-Men: First Class” expire with “X-Men: Apocalypse,” there’s always been the hope that they might sign on for additional entries. Last week Nicholas Hoult suggested that he’d be potentially open to returning.

The same can’t be said for his co-star Jennifer Lawrence it would seem. In a new interview with MTV, Lawrence seems confident the new film will mark her last appearance as shape shifter Mystique: “It is my last one. Yes.”

The next film in “The Ring” franchise has begun production in Atlanta according to the film’s director F. Javier Gutierrez . Though long rumored to be a prequel to the previous two films, Gutierrez surprisingly reveals that the film actually takes place thirteen years after the first film. “Rings” is slated to open on November 13th. The Legend of Zelda
Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has scuttled a report that a Netflix TV series was in the works based on the popular “The Legend of Zelda” game franchise. The Nintendo-chief says: “As of now, I have nothing new to share with you in regard to the use of our IPs for any TV shows or films, but I can at least confirm that the article in question is not based on correct information.” [Source: Time]
