All four of The CW’s DC Comics-inspired shows have had some news related to them hit today.
First up, “Jessica Jones” actor Wil Traval has joined the cast of “Arrow”. Traval will take on the role of superhero Human Target aka Christopher Chance, a master of disguise who assumes the identity of those targeted by assassins. Traval will appear in the fifth episode of the upcoming fifth season with Mayor Oliver Queen being his latest client.
Next, a new photo has been released of “Supergirl” star Melissa Benoist on the set of the second season of the show alongside the original “Wonder Woman” herself Lynda Carter who will play the President of the United States in the upcoming second season.
Then there’s “The Flash” with word that “Awkward” star Ashley Rickards will play a gender-switched version of the supervillain The Top in the upcoming third season. In the comics The Top was a criminal with the ability to spin at super-speed and in this incarnation will be the partner-in-crime with Mirror Master (Grey Damon). Both will have their first outing in the fourth episode of the new season.
Finally there’s a just released behind the scenes image from the set of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” which confirms that the show’s second season would appear to include time travel back to feudal Japan as Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer/The Atom has been photographed riding on horseback in full samurai armor.
