The Goetz Brothers (“Scenic Route”) are reportedly attached to direct the remake of Pascal Laugier’s acclaimed 2009 horror film “Martyrs”. The original film’s story follows a young woman who sets out to get revenge on the people who attacked and permanently scarred her when she was ten.
The pair’s attachment was spotted on artwork currently on display at the European Film Market this week according to Dread Central. Said artwork also indicates Blumhouse and The Safran Company are set to produce.
In other news, Rome’s mayor Ignazio Marino has reportedly confirmed to Bad Taste that the sequel to the 2001 comedy “Zoolander” will film for a whopping twelve weeks at Rome’s famed Cinecitta Studios.
Ben Stiller will direct the film and reprise his role as male model Derek Zoolander on what appears to be a European tour. Shooting is slated to begin at the studio sometime this spring.
