Summit Entertainment has announced a November 18th 2011 release date for the much anticipated final chapter in the ‘Twilight’ saga – “The Twilight Eclipse: Breaking Dawn”.
Bill Condon directs the project and at present it’s still unknown if it will be released as either one or two films. The release date slots ‘Dawn’ against George Miller’s “Happy Feet 2” and Hugh Jackman sci-fi robot fighting feature “Real Steel.”
Meanwhile 20th Century Fox has announced a June 3rd 2011 release date for the spin-off feature “X-Men: First Class” and has officially confirmed that Matthew Vaughn (“Kick Ass,” “Layer Cake”) is set to direct.
The statement included the short synopsis: “Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. They were closest of friends, working together, with other mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.”
Filming on ‘Class’ kicks off later this Summer, as a result casting is already underway with the roles of young Cyclops and Jean Grey already being looked into.
