The teaser trailer and first poster have arrived for Netflix’s “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie,” the new feature film sequel to the celebrated AMC series that has long been rumored about but never confirmed by anyone involved until Bob Odenkirk indicated as much in comments this past week.
Netflix has announced an October 11th premiere date on the service for the project which is being written and directed by series creator Vince Gilligan.
The official synopsis reads: “In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.” The teaser, however, features no Jesse, only a scene with Skinny Pete being interrogated by the police.
Emmy winner Aaron Paul is reprising his role for the film, though it’s unclear what other characters from the Breaking Bad universe will appear in the series. More details are expected to be officially announced by the service on Monday.
