Breaking Bad Duo Join “Argo,” “Cross”

Two stars of AMC’s returning drama “Breaking Bad” have signed on for film projects according to The Hollywood Reporter.

‘Bad’ lead Bryan Cranston is in talks to join the Ben Affleck-directed black comedy/thriller “Argo” about smuggling U.S. diplomats out of Iran in the late 70’s by pretending they’re part of a film crew.

Cranston will portray Jack O’Donnell, a Boston-bred CIA agent who used to be President Eisenhower’s personal bodyguard.

Meanwhile, Giancarlo Esposito has signed to star in Rob Cohen-directed thriller “I, Alex Cross” for Summit Entertainment.

An adaptation of the James Patterson novel, Esposito joins a cast that includes Tyler Perry, Matthew Fox, Ed Burns and Jean Reno in this reboot of the Cross franchise.
