Bradley Cooper is reportedly keen on scoring the role of Lucifer in “Paradise Lost” for Legendary Pictures reports Variety.
An adaptation of John Milton’s epic 17th-century poem, the story deals with Lucifer’s fall from grace, his temptation of Adam and Eve, and the first couple’s subsequent banishment from the Garden of Eden.
This adaptation reimagines it with a Hollywood-friendly, action-oriented slant which could possibly be shot in 3D. It’s likely the Lucifer character will keep the arrogant yet charismatic and ultimately tragic overtones of his role in Milton’s work.
No official offer has yet to be made to Cooper however. Alex Proyas is directing the project which is scheduled for release next year.
