Bradbury’s “Martian Chronicles” Updated

Producer John Davis (“Alien vs. Predator,” “I, Robot”) has optioned the film rights to Ray Bradbury’s 1950 sci-fi short stories collection “The Martian Chronicles” reports 24 Frames.

The work is a series of interlinked adventures that take place after humans have escaped an atomically devastated Earth and end up clashing with the Martian natives.

Rock Hudson, Darren McGavin and Bernadette Peters starred in a low-budget NBC 1980’s mini-series loosely based on the work. Despite legendary author Richard Matheson (“I Am Legend”) adapting, Bradbury himself called the mini-series “just boring”.
