Brad Pitt To Re-Team With Jolie On “Africa”

Brad Pitt is in talks to star in his wife Angelina Jolie’s next directorial effort “Africa” at Skydance Productions. The pair just worked together on “By the Sea,” Jolie’s third film as director following “In the Land of Blood and Honey” and last year’s “Unbroken”.

“Africa” will be based on the true story of Richard Leakey and his fight in the late 1980s to stop Kenyan ivory poachers from killing elephants before they became extinct. He was also a paleo-archaeologist who helped find the bones of an early human man.

Jolie, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Jon Peters will produce the film, while Roger Deakins will serve as cinematographer. Production could begin as early as this Summer, and Paramount Pictures is expected to distribute.
