Boyd Holbrook (“The Host,” “Behind the Candelabra”) has joined the cast of Gavin O’Connor’s western “Jane Got a Gun” at Relativity Media and The Weinstein Company.
Ewan McGregor plays an outlaw who clashes with Natalie Portman and her ex-lover (Joel Edgerton) whom she seeks assistance from to protect her home. Holbrook will play McGregor’s younger brother.
At the same time, Holbrook has also locked down his commitment to star opposite Elizabeth Banks in Sara Colangelo’s indie drama “Little Accidents.”
That film, a feature adaptation of her 2010 short, Holbrook playing the lone survivor of a tragic accident that kills a dozen men in a small mining town.
Banks will play a woman whose son goes missing in the accident and seeks comfort and companionship from Holbrook’s character.
