Booksmart Rocketman Us Top 2019 Critic Poll

We’re at the halfway point in 2019 and this past weekend some members of the Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society got together and voted to determine the best films thus far, announcing the winners and runners up in several categories.

Olivia Wilde’s debut film “Booksmart,” the Elton John biopic “Rocketman,” and Jordan Peele’s “Us” seemed to be the most recurring titles, each nabbing multiple wins and runner up nominations and vying for almost all the categories. Marvel Studios also did well, their films nabbing runner-up spots in two acting and a script category.

Other works to score a mention include “The Souvenir,” “The Mustang,” “Toy Story 4,” “Aladdin,” “When They See Us” and “Always Be My Maybe”. Here’s the full list of winners:
