A couple of important release date changes have happened this week, especially in the last day or two. Amongst the announcements:
MGM has set an October 26th 2012 U.K. release date, and a November 9th U.S. release date for the next James Bond film.
The much anticipated adaptation of John Le Carre’s “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy” has been scheduled to open wide on November 18th, offering adults a film choice in a weekend that otherwise targeted at kids (“Happy Feet 2”) and teens (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part One”).
The Weinstein Company has pushed back the ‘found footage’ sci-fi/horror film “Apollo 18” by a week from August 26th to September 2nd.
20th Century Fox has pushed back Ang Lee’s “Life of Pi” adaptation by a week so it’s scheduled to open on Christmas Weekend 2012.
